Summary of the biomass gasification:

 

Biomass gasification is to convert biomass (solid agricultural and forestry wastes wood chips, 

sawdust, tree barks, rice husk,rice straw , wheat  straw, cotton stalk , palm husk , bamboo, bagasse, etc ) into combustible gas.

Raw materials: All the plants and organic wastes

 The grain size of raw materials is less than 50mm in general.

The water content of the raw materials is lower than 15% in general.

Working principle of the biomass gasification:

 

 

Raw material is processed for size and moisture content to meet the requirements of the gasifier furnace. It is then introduced to the furnace by the Raw material in- feed conveyors.

 

Incomplete combustion of the biomass in the furnace by controlling the temperature and oxygen through pyrolysis produces CO, H2, CH4 and other combustible gases. Most of the energy from the solid biomass has now turned into biogas.

 

The gas is then transported by negative pressure through the gas cleaning and cooling process. This is where the ash particulate and tar is removed from the gas to produce a pure combustion gas for use in an internal combustion engine to produce electricity, supply the heat source or gas.
